A long term successful B2B-Provider for Internet services
InterNetX is an international provider of domains, webspace and hosting services for resellers
InterNetX GmbH, located in Regensburg, Germany, was founded in 1998. The company offers the essentials for any webhosting provider such as domains, network connections and webspace. InterNetX is a technical and strategic partner, operating for numerous global players in the background. With more than 3.4 million managed domains and about 1,600 physical servers, InterNetX is one of the largest service providers for professional users and resellers on the international marketplace.
The company is financially independent, without any venture capital. This decision has enabled InterNetX to achieve healthy growth and positive technical development over the years. Since 2000 the sales volume has increased by a
third each year. This development is expected to continue in the future. InterNetX strives constantly to expand its
market position in the areas domains, servers and resellers.
Due to its conservative financial politics and solid structures, InterNetX belongs to the "old economy" of the IT sector.
The technical direction of the company allows for flat hierarchies and a team-oriented workplace. InterNetX employs approximately 70 people and several interns and apprentices. The company places utmost value on competence and close interaction with its customers in order to pass on knowledge to all parties involved.
Since its foundation, InterNetX has been running various data centers in Germany. In November 2006 a new TIER 3
Data Center, located in Munich, was put on stream.
InterNetX has built up an extraordinary international domain platform over recent years and currently holds more than 300 country code (ccTLDs) and generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) in its portfolio. The company is a member of registries in Germany, England, Italy, France and Denmark and operates as a registrar in Switzerland, Austria and many other countries around the globe. As a direct member of these organizations, InterNetX is able to offer competitive prices and can reduce the management effort needed to administer the domains. Through its subsidiary PSI-USA, Inc., InterNetX is accredited with ICANN, Afilias, PIR, NeuStar and other registries for gTLDs like .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .NAME etc. New Top Level Domains, as was the case with .EU or .MOBI, are incorporated in the portfolio right from the start.
InterNetX offers customized server solutions, providing speed and security features at its best – just perfect for all business transactions processed through the Internet. The data centers in Regensburg and Munich are both inter-
connected. The connections are provided by Global Access, Level 3, 1&1, M-net and R-KOM. The total bandwidth
of over 50 GBit/s can easily be expanded if needed. InterNetX is a member of "Réseaux IP Européens" (RIPE), an international organization responsible for IP address space.
The one-of-a-kind domain management software AutoDNS was developed inhouse and has been on the market since 1999. With AutoDNS, it is easy to register domains and manage nameserver/DNS settings and in addition, to create new user profiles that can manage their own portfolios. The continuous optimization of AutoDNS has led to many additional features like SMS and email solutions for large online portals.
IX-TKÜV, created by InterNetX as well, is an affordable solution for internet service providers who need to monitor email traffic contents. This software meets all requirements according to the German telecommunication law (TKÜV).
Since December 2004, InterNetX has been affiliated with United Internet AG. As part of the deal, InterNetX acquired Schlund Technologies GmbH to focus on the reseller market. In exchange, the publicly traded United Internet AG purchased shares of InterNetX GmbH.
