InterNetX at Domain pulse 2011 in Vienna

Domain pulse is one of the most important domain events in the German-speaking area and the forum for DENIC, nic.at and SWITCH, the German, Austrian and Swiss registries

(REGENSBURG – VIENNA, February 17, 2011) – This year, the German-speaking branch meeting Domain pulse is taking place on February 17 and 18, 2011 in the Austrian city of Vienna, with the participation of InterNetX. It is the third time that the Austrian registry nic.at is hosting the event in the capital city. The historical Palais Ferstel is the backdrop for this eighth Domain pulse event and provides the perfect location for more than 350 conference attendees to discuss current topics, movements and trends regarding domain names – especially for the ccTLDs .DE, .AT, .CH and .LI.

Domain pulse has crystallized into one of the most important specialist conferences in the German-speaking area and is organized annually, on a rotational basis, by the three registries, DENIC, nic.at and SWITCH. Together, these three registries manage over 16,6 million domains, which amounts to almost a tenth of all registered domains worldwide. With over 3 million managed domains, InterNetX is one of the leading domain registrars worldwide. The internally developed InterNetX domain management software, AutoDNS 3.0, allows real-time domain registration for the ccTLDs administered by the three registries.

The extensive program runs over two days and is packed with interesting topics. Amongst other themes, current issues related to Internet law, a case example of a profitable Internet company and the outlook for the new TLDs will be up for discussion. Leaders from DENIC, nic.at and SWITCH will round this off with an overview of activities over past and upcoming months. “Itʼs always a great honor for us to be represented at Domain pulse as one of the biggest members of DENIC. We strongly expect the significance of the German-speaking ccTLDs .DE, .AT and .CH to grow even more – and that they will also continue reporting record registration numbers,” says Hakan Ali, Sales and Marketing Director at InterNetX, based in Regensburg/Bavaria.
