The SecureSite Pro Extended Validation Certificate – with real 256 Bit encryption – counts as one of the most innovative certificates on the SSL market. Well-defined features create maximum protection that you can fully place your confidence in.
With the EV certificate, all important verification notices are apparent at a glance. The browser bar colors green when an EV-certified website is opened - indicating a validated sender. The signing CA and firm for whom the certificate was issued, is apparent. The validation is carried out via Whois inquiry and a VeriSign call.

The VeriSign SSL certificates can only be issued to applicants or companies that are recorded in the commercial register. Certificates are not issued for private persons or companies constituted under civil law which are not listed in the commercial register.
After receiving your order, VeriSign begins with the verification of the applicant. In order to do this, it looks for the company in the available databases. If the applicant is verified, a telephone call is made to the specified administrative contact person.
The telephonic verification process is carried out in several steps. The first step is to verify whether the specified contact person works for the company (Human Resources Department). The second step is to verify whether the specified contact person is authorized to order a certificate (superior). If the information is confirmed, the contact person will be contacted by telephone. The certificate will only be issued after the contact person has been reached.
